Jewelers of America’s Encourages Positive Editorial for Fine Jewelry

The annual Jewelry Preview showcased over 100 pieces of jewelry to trade and consumer press

October 6, 2015, New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry retail marketplace, showcased over 100 pieces of jewelry, many from Jewelers of America Supplier Members, to the press during its Annual Fine Jewelry Preview on Wednesday, September 30, in New York. The event was held in conjunction with Cultured Pearl Association of America, Platinum Guild International USA and Silver Promotion Service, and was sponsored by Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company and Synchrony Financial.

The event at The Press Lounge at Ink 48 Hotel drew leading fashion and accessories editors from both trade and consumer publications, and offered sweeping views of New York’s midtown skyline. Guests got an up-close look at new and innovative jewelry designs, and perused the most notable jewelry trends for 2015 including: alternative engagement rings, fringe pieces, chain links, talismans, rich color and geometric designs. Attendees were treated to a professional appraisal of their favorite piece of jewelry by JA Supplier Member Craig Faller of E.F. Gem.

“The Fine Jewelry Preview is designed to encourage editors to include fine jewelry in all of their upcoming stories. Through our members’ and partners’ jewelry selections, we introduce the editors to new designers and collections that have never seen before, says Amanda Gizzi, Jewelers of America Director of Public Relations and Special Events. “The more we can get jewelry in front of editors, writer and stylists, the more passionate they are about jewelry. That passion is translated by editorial features and those features increase consumer excitement and demand for jewelry.”
